Last beach session at Polurrian tonight – the light is fading and we sadly need to stop sometime! We start our winter pool sessions at Helston Sports Centre in a couple of weeks which will continue to build our members’ stamina and strength before returning to the beach next year.
We’ve had a fantastic season on our home beach of Polurrian – this has been enabled by the major improvements to the path and the loan of the hotel’s 4×4 every week which has meant we can tow the trailer with all the boards and equipment right down to the beach.
At the beginning of the beach season, Mullion residents and Club supporters Brian and Deb Hurst donated £90 which paid for a rescue tube – a piece of essential lifeguard equipment. We are extremely grateful to Brian and Deb for their generosity and support.

At one of our beach sessions in July, Jo and Michael came to present us with a cheque "It was a great pleasure for Michael Trevaskis & myself to be able to present a Co-op Community Donation cheque for £250 to Mullion Surf Life Saving Club for much needed new equipment 🏄♀️🏄♂️' (reposting to feed to our website)
We are very grateful to Mullion Hall for nominating Mullion Surf Life Saving Club as their chosen charity this Tuesday and donating the proceeds of Bingo Night at the hall. Second weekend in a row our lifeguards have been busy! St Ives Biathlon last weekend, and this weekend Castle 2 Castle from Pendennis Castle to St Mawes Castle. Well done, Dave, Leanne, Lorraine, Owain and Simon!
